Pricing

One flat fee per step. No hourly billing, ever.

Patent pricing should not be a mystery that reveals itself one invoice at a time. Here is the entire math, in public, before you ever talk to us.

Step 1
Readiness & eligibility call
$500 $0 waived for a limited time
Step 2
Worldwide prior art search & written analysis
$1,500
Step 3
Draft, file & prosecute, expedited, through issuance or final office action
$13,500
Your total. Soup to nuts, everything included. $15,000

USPTO fees, professional patent drawings, expedited Track One filing, and every office action response your case needs. The meter never starts, because there is no meter.

Check around. Seriously.

Most firms quote you for drafting, then bill by the hour every time the Patent Office does anything, for years, while the application sits in a three year queue. Here the entire path is one fixed number, filed expedited under Track One and prosecuted through issuance or final office action, with the goal of your issued patent in hand about one year after you start, subject to the engagement terms. Ask any other firm to put that in writing, apples to apples. Then decide.

Pricing assumes micro entity status, which most individual inventors and small startups qualify for. What is micro entity status? If you do not qualify, the USPTO's higher fees apply and only the difference is added to the amounts quoted here. Either way, the exact numbers are explained and agreed to in writing before any step begins.

Apples to apples

What the same patent typically costs elsewhere.

These are honest generalizations about how traditional firms price utility patent work for individual inventors. Your mileage will vary, which is rather the problem.

Payment details

The fine print, in large type.

Each step stands alone

You pay for one step at a time, and you decide after each step whether to continue. Step fees are separate and are not credited toward later steps. There is never an obligation to proceed.

Payment plans are available

Our payment portal offers third party financing with monthly payment options, subject to approval. We take no equity, no royalties, and no interest in your invention. Ever.

Entity status is confirmed before anything is filed

The published pricing includes USPTO fees at the micro entity rate. If you qualify as a small or standard entity instead, only the USPTO fee difference is added, and you will approve the exact numbers in writing before any filing.
